Watch Desert & Bush Climates

Desert regions have hot, dry climates where rain sometimes comes only once every few years. How can animals and people adapt to this harsh environment? As this program explains, desert animals are mostly nocturnal, while people wear light, flowing clothes. Subtropical climates can also be dry and hot, such as in the thorny Australian bush country. Here too, adaptations are necessary for survival. The program shows the lives of Australian Aborigines, who learned long ago how to live in the bush.
