High school student Judy is only 17 when she makes a life changing decision to elope to Las Vegas with her 24-year old law student boyfriend named Steve. Then the couple faces the difficult task of informing Judy's parents about their marriage. They immediately suspect she is pregnant, but she insists she is not. Steve is anxious to get back to his apartment to start the honeymoon, but Judy would rather spend time at the coffee shop where he works part-time. Her ex-boyfriend starts the rumor they had to get married and her parents plot to break the couple apart.
