Dirty Dancing : Havana Nights is a new chapter in the Dirty Dancing franchise. It uses many of the same elements as the first movie. A young girl coming of age in a difficult time where her parents want one thing for her while she wants something entirely different for herself. Of course there will be sexy dancing, romance and drama involved....it is a Dirty Dancing film after all. This new film is placed in a very conflicted Cuba Katey and Susie Miller are brought along with their parents to live in Cuba for their father's job. They live in a nice hotel with other American families who are in the same situation. Susie is thrilled with the situation but Katey is not happy at all. Katey is disgusted by the way some of the American teenagers at the hotel's pool treat one of the Cuban teenagers who work at the hotel. She wants nothing to do with any of the snobish teenagers who are staying there. The following day Katey sees the same waiter, Javier, when she spies him dancing with others in the street on her way home from school. Javier offers to walk her back to the hotel and Katey accepts. Sadly there is police drama and danger on the way home that highlights the dangerous time this film is set in. Katey wants badly to dance like Javier and she seeks out his help. He agrees to secretly teach her. Katey's sister Susie finds out about the pair and gets Javier fired. Katey is furious. Her and Javier continue dancing together with him agreeing to dance with her in a dance contest. Feelings intensify and bloom between the two. How can a match between them work when they both live in entirely separate worlds? Watch to find out the exciting conclusion to the film.
