In the Indian Punjabi language film Disco Singh, Diljit Dosanjh plays the role of a struggling singer named Lattu who dreams of becoming a famous musician. However, his life takes a twist when he crosses paths with a beautiful woman named Sweety (Surveen Chawla) who claims to be the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Lattu is an average, comedic individual who is always trying to come up with ways to make money. Initially, he meets Sweety when he is hired to perform at her sister's wedding. After catching Sweety's eye, Lattu volunteers to help her find a job in the city. However, things turn ugly when he discovers that Sweety was lying about her wealthy family, and she is actually a struggling actress herself.

From there, the story takes a turn, and Lattu gets caught up in a series of hilarious and dangerous adventures that involve a local goon, Jagtar Singh alias Jaggi (Manoj Pahwa). Jaggi is the owner of a failing disco, and he is always looking for new ways to attract customers. Eventually, Lattu agrees to work with Jaggi after he promises to finance his dream project of becoming a famous singer.

The film is a typical comedy and includes several light-hearted moments, songs and dance sequences. It is a fast-paced entertainer with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Although Disco Singh is based on a simple storyline, it offers its audience an interesting take on life, love, and the pursuit of one's dreams.

The chemistry between Diljit and Surveen is excellent and adds to the humour of the film. Diljit's comedic timing is exceptional, and he manages to pull off comic scenes with ease. Surveen, too, delivers a commendable performance, and her natural acting skills are on full display.

Manoj Pahwa is undoubtedly the highlight of the movie. Playing the role of Jaggi, he is confident, witty and maintains his character throughout. He adds more depth to the story as a slightly villainous character who suffers from a midlife crisis. His comedic timing is on point, and he contributes to most of the laugh-out-loud moments.

Another asset of the film is its music. Jatinder Shah has composed songs that fit the film's mood perfectly. The disco numbers are catchy and energetic, while the romantic tracks are melodious and soulful.

Disco Singh is a refreshing change from the heavy, deep storylines of modern cinema. It is a fun and comical movie that offers light entertainment with no strings attached. The film may not have a deep message or a strong storyline, but it does deliver on its promise of an entertaining experience.

Overall, Disco Singh is a laugh-out-loud comedy that will leave you feeling happy and content. It is relatable and the characters are believable. Diljit, Surveen and Manoj shine in their respective roles, and their performances are sure to make you smile. The catchy music, comedic timing and overall vibe of the film make it a must-watch for all fans of Punjabi cinema.
