A story of three seperate characters, each with their own story. Matsumoto, a young man who ends his engagement with Sawako, in order to marry the daughter of the president of his company. Sawako ends up attempting to take her own lige, and ends up in a semi-vegetative state, he takes her out of the hospital and they run away.

Nukui, a young man who is obsessed with the pop-star Haruna. Nukui blinds himself when Haruna is involved in a car accident which leaves her disfigured.

The third character is an aged yakuza, Hiro, who tries to meet a girlfriend from his youth.

During the film, there are some incidental visual cross-over with the three characters, but are mostly separate. The first story is the one on which the film centers around. This film is quite symbolic. In some scenes, it is unclear whether a certian scene is meant to be taken literally, or not. The film is also does not follow chronological order, but there is a strong visual emphasis on the changing of the seasons and the bonds of love over the progression of time.
