Watch Drama of the Lark

Drama Of The Lark is a 1963 Hungarian film adapted from a novel by Dezso Kosztolani. It depicts a young woman, who lives with her mother and father, who is retired. She is homely and provides great care to her parents. The girl does more and more for the parents, and they in turn become more and more dependent on her. She visits the home of her uncle, and while gone, her parents understand their level of dependency on the girl, and the ways in which it keeps her from living a normal life. Antal Páger won the award for Best Actor for his role in the film, at the 1964 Carnes Film Festival.
