Ernest is out yet again, only this time he is attending a vacation at Kamp Kikakee. During the vacation Ernest is set to be in charge of a couple of juvenile criminals with the inability to take care of himself. Clumsy Ernest is thrown in as being the fix it man of the camp while putting kids under his wing who are feeling the need to defend themselves against the other kids at camp. Ernest desires to be a counselor rather than just being the handy man, so he does his best to help out the outcast children at the camp. Through his many efforts to try to help out the kids and the camp, he instead causes chaos and problems through his many attempts to help. Although his methods may not seem helpful, Ernest ends up helping many campers and kids through their issues.
