When Ernest the janitor and Dr. Melon, a stuffy history professor, embark on a journey to find the long lost Crown Jewels, hilarity ensues. Though they are polar opposites, Ernest and the professor work together to foil the plans of the evil Dr. Glencliff. He is determined to get his hands on the Crown Jewels and the historic cannon named Goliath that Ernest found half-buried on the grounds of the university where he and Dr. Melon both work.

Ernest takes us along as he and Goliath take a ride on the wild side, with side-splitting results. The professor learns from Ernest to enjoy life as it comes.
