The movie Evil from 2006 is a horror movie that explores the idea of demonic possession. The story follows a group of college students who decide to spend a weekend in a remote cabin in the woods. They are hoping for a fun-filled weekend of partying and relaxation, but things quickly take a turn for the worse when they accidentally awaken an ancient evil that has been dormant for centuries.

The movie begins with a prologue that explains the origins of the demon that will later possess one of the characters. The demon, known as Malachi, was once worshiped by a primitive tribe that lived in the same area where the cabin is located. The tribe performed human sacrifices in Malachi's honor, and eventually, the demon became so powerful that it was able to manifest itself in physical form. However, the tribe eventually grew afraid of Malachi and sealed him away in a hidden chamber beneath the cabin.

Flash forward to the present day, and we meet the group of college students who will soon become the unwitting victims of Malachi's wrath. There's Josh (played by David Weidoff), the nerdy but likable protagonist who is hoping to win the heart of his crush, Beth (Joelene Muir). There's also Bobby (John Patrick Jordan), the obnoxious jock who enjoys pushing Josh's buttons, and Frankie (Terry Gannon Jr.), the stoner who always seems to be in a perpetual state of confusion.

As soon as the group arrives at the cabin, strange things start to happen. At first, it's just minor things like strange noises and objects moving on their own, but soon it becomes clear that something far more sinister is at work. One by one, the group members start to exhibit strange and disturbing behavior, and it becomes apparent that they have all been possessed by Malachi.

The rest of the movie plays out like a classic horror movie, as the remaining unpossessed characters try to survive and figure out a way to stop the demon before it's too late. Along the way, they encounter a local sheriff (Mitch Eakins) who is investigating a series of murders that all seem to be tied to the cabin.

Overall, Evil is a solid horror movie that does a good job of building tension and suspense. The characters are likable enough that you care about what happens to them, and the demon itself is suitably creepy and menacing. If you're a fan of classic horror movies with a supernatural twist, then Evil is definitely worth checking out.
