This series of eight programs is the conclusion to a continuum that includes Knowing Eternity and Knowing Ourselves, in which Jean Vanier examines different aspects of man's spiritual existence using the Gospel of John. Here Vanier emphasizes the contemporary rather than the historical Christ, and explores the possibility of a mystical relationship with Him.

Part 5: "The King in Chains" - The central event in the Christian story that marks it as mystical is Christ's return after his crucifixion.

Part 6: "Victim and Savior" - This program is a continuation of the paradox of the crucifixion and its relationship to all mystical experience, Christian or not.
