This series of eight programs is the conclusion to a continuum that includes Knowing Eternity and Knowing Ourselves, in which Jean Vanier examines different aspects of man's spiritual existence using the Gospel of John. Here Vanier emphasizes the contemporary rather than the historical Christ, and explores the possibility of a mystical relationship with Him. Part 7: "Sent Forth to Forgive" - Vanier examines the basis of the mystical experience. Part 8: "John's Gospel" - Vanier conveys the difference between John's Gospel and the synoptic gospels and the speculations about the historical Jesus.
