Fish Out of Water is an animated documentary that was released in 2008. The film looks at the various conflicts between the LGBT community and various religious groups. More specifically, the film looks at certain biblical passages that condemn homosexuality, and are commonly quoted during debates over LGBT rights. The film examines the context of these passages, and attempts to understand what they actually mean in context of things such as gay marriage, workplace and housing protection, and the general public attitude towards homosexuality. The film then offers explanation about why the passages exists, and argues that they are irrelevant to current issues.
