American Character is a dramatic documentary that takes the audience behind the scenes into the lives of 3 very different Americans. First, there is Larry - a district court judge. Following him from his judges' quarters to his elegant home in New Jersey, the film captures the different aspects of his conflicted lifestyle. Next is Henry, a 16 year old high school football quarterback. The show documents his daily workouts, his change in physique, and the social consequences of being a Mormon in a school of mostly Christians. Finally, the film closes by interviewing a 6 year old girl named Lilly, asking her how she views the American experience.
