Frank McKlusky, C.I. is a comedy film released in 2002, directed by Arlene Sanford, and produced by Touchstone Pictures. The movie follows the story of Frank McKlusky (played by Dave Sheridan), a newly-minted private investigator who follows in his father's footsteps, becoming a claims investigator for an insurance company called Reliable Life. The film takes place in a fictitious world where insurance fraud is rampant, and Frank's job is to expose them.

Frank is an over-enthusiastic character, and his dedication to taking down fraudulent claims sometimes leads him to act in ways that are counterintuitive to the needs of his clients. Nonetheless, his passion for exposing the truth about people who are faking accidents or injuries is infectious, and he quickly wins over much of the staff of Reliable Life, including his boss Jeff (Randy Quaid) and the attractive claims adjuster Sharon (Cameron Richardson).

The story takes a turn when Frank is tasked with investigating one of his own heroes, the former pro football player and current televangelist Scooter McDougal (Enrico Colantoni). Scooter is the beneficiary of a life insurance policy that was recently purchased by a supporter of his ministry.

Frank is initially hesitant to take on the case due to his admiration for McDougal, but his zeal for justice ultimately leads him to pursue the investigation. As Frank delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and corruption surrounding McDoogal's ministry, which threatens to expose Frank and his colleagues to danger.

The film is filled with over-the-top antics, slapstick humor, and exaggerated scenarios. Some of the standout moments in the movie include Frank's investigation into the claim of a man who supposedly lost his hands in a chipper machine, his attempts to infiltrate a nudist colony to investigate a claim, and a car chase scene that features a truckload of pigs.

Despite its low budget and limited theatrical release, Frank McKlusky, C.I. manages to be a well-crafted and entertaining film. Dave Sheridan's performance as Frank is outstanding, and he manages to bring life to an otherwise ridiculous character. The supporting cast is equally impressive, with Randy Quaid providing a memorable turn as Frank's boss and Cameron Richardson delivering a charming performance as the love interest.

In conclusion, Frank McKlusky, C.I. is a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously and manages to deliver plenty of laughs. It's a perfect film for fans of nonsensical humor and improbable plotlines, and even those who aren't can still appreciate the impressive performance of the cast. While it may not be a blockbuster hit, it's a movie that deserves more recognition and is well worth watching for anyone in the mood for a good laugh.

Frank McKlusky, C.I. is a 2002 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 23 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.0.
