Watch From Rude To Respectful

In a recent survey, 81% of teachers said that students are ruder today than they were 30 years ago. Four of every five children have experienced sexual harassment, and 97% say they have cheated at school. What is the best way for children learn respect and responsibility? This program asks if troubled kids act the way they do because they feel isolated and unconnected to those around them. "From Rude to Respectful" chronicles the positive efforts of a North Carolina school to emphasize character, and one family who developed personal mission statements about how they want to treat each other. Honesty, responsibility, respect, compassion, and self-discipline are emphasized.
