Grand Ole Opry was a movie that was released in 1940 and featured the stars of the infamous Grand Ole Opry of country music stars at the time. The movie was about a small town mayor who recruited the singers of the Grand Ole Opry and people from the local community to help with the passing of legislation to help Great Depression era farmers. The mayor would eventually win an election for state office from candidates who were backed by corrupt politicians.
