Despite the title the film has almost nothing whatsoever to do with Well's book of the same name. The only primary similarities, aside from the title, are the names of a few of the characters. The plot of this adaptation takes place in the far flung future where a great robotic war has ravaged the earth to such a extent that mankind has fled to the Moon. However, the only thing keeping them alive is a rare and hard to produce drug called Raddic-Q2 and their supply is quickly running out...
