This motion picture tells the tale of a man who was once viewed by his countrymen as one of the greatest heroes ever to emerge from their nation. Portrayed is the story of Hansie, a world famous cricketer who was regarded as one of the most revered men in the entire nation of South Africa. He had legions of fans who supported him for many, many years. However, once it was revealed that Hansie had a big connection to professional sports gamblers, it was all downhill for the one time hero. The film portrays the story of his attempt to gain back some of the respect he once had.
