His and Her Christmas
- 1 hr 28 min
His and Her Christmas is about Tom and Liz, two columnists from opposing papers. When the two write different opinions on a story about Christmas for the newspapers they work for, they end up knowing one another as the enemy, each trying to keep their own job safe. Meanwhile, their families are trying to set them up. Liz, who works at a small, community newspaper as an advice columnist, is in fear of losing her job. The entire newspaper is at risk, after having been bought out by the newspaper Tom works for. To save herself and the paper, she decides to publish a piece about the local newspaper's place in the community and the true meaning of Christmas. It creates a lot of good press for the paper, and it seems like Liz's plan may have worked. Tom, working for the paper that bought out the local one, is hoping to have a television show all about his life, which will put him in the spotlight and gain attention for the newspaper. This is why the other was bought out and those who work for it have jobs that are in jeopardy, because Tom and his team need money to pay for his show. Hopes of the show appear to be in trouble when Liz's Christmas column comes out, so Tom takes matters into his own hands. He writes an opposing opinion on the same story, causing plenty of tension between him and Liz. Through all the talk of hating each other, both Tom and Liz's family and friends decide that they could actually be quite compatible. They're both single, both columnists, and both very adamant about their own opinions. Day after day all they do is talk about each other, supposedly saying they hate the other, but perhaps the line between hate and love is thinner than it appears.
