Homicycle is a bloodcurdling horror film that was first released in 2014. Directed by Brett Kelly, the movie stars Candice Lidstone, Peter Whittaker, and Ian Quick in lead roles. The movie revolves around a bizarre phenomenon that has started occurring in the city - a group of bicycle-riding, sword-wielding killers are roaming the city streets, slaying innocent people without any reason. The police are unable to apprehend them, and the citizens are living in constant fear of these unidentified murderers.

In the midst of this chaos, our protagonist Becky, portrayed by Lidstone, is struggling with her personal life. She is an alcoholic, and her addiction has ruined her career as a journalist. Her relationships with her boyfriend and father are also strained, and she is struggling to find a sense of purpose in life.

One day, while Becky is on her way home, she witnesses a Homicycle (as the killers are named by the media) murder. The incident completely shakes her, and she decides to look deeper into the Homicycle phenomenon. She teams up with her ex-boyfriend and chief editor of the newspaper, Alec, played by Whittaker, to hunt down the killers and uncover the truth behind their existence.

As the duo digs deeper, they discover a shocking connection between the Homicycles and a prominent businessman named Richard, played by Quick. They find evidence that Richard is responsible for creating these killers artificially in his laboratory, using a combination of advanced technology and ancient mythological rituals.

Becky and Alec's hunt for the Homicycles takes them on a thrilling journey across the city, as they dodge the killers and communicate with the victims' families to try and unravel the mystery behind the murders. They face several close encounters with the Homicycles, where they barely manage to escape with their lives.

The storyline is exceptionally well-written, and the pacing of the movie is impeccable. The movie manages to maintain the element of horror throughout, with several spine-chilling moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The movie is also visually stunning, with excellent cinematography and top-notch special effects. The Homicycles are portrayed in a frightening manner, with their skeletal masks and brightly lit bicycles adding to their menacing demeanor.

The performances of the cast are also noteworthy, with Lidstone portraying the character of Becky with great conviction. She perfectly captures the desperation and determination of a woman who is struggling to overcome her past and make something of her life.

The chemistry between Becky and Alec is also impressive, with Whittaker bringing the perfect amount of charm and wit to his character. Quick's portrayal of Richard is also commendable, as he manages to strike the perfect balance between an intelligent businessman and an evil mastermind.

In conclusion, Homicycle is a gripping horror movie that will keep you hooked till the very end. Its unique concept, combined with its excellent execution and stellar performances, makes it a must-watch for all fans of the horror genre.
