This film follows Peter, a medical student at UCLA who received failing grades from his professor, who is also his father. He becomes extremely disillusioned with life and meets a young woman named Bogart, after a night of drinking and debauchery Peter agrees to accompany Bogart on road trip. She drives to Northern California and her home town in Humboldt County, home to an illegal burgeoning marijuana harvesting industry. Peter meets Bogart's family members and learns of the family trade of growing marijuana illegal in massive quantities.
