I Don't Buy Kisses Anymore is a 1992 romantic comedy-drama movie that tells an unconventional love story between a middle-aged greeting-card writer and a free-spirited young woman. Jason Alexander plays the lead role of Bernie Fishbine, a jaded, lonely man who has given up on love after his wife left him years ago. Bernie runs a small greeting-card company in New York City, but his business is struggling, and he is constantly at odds with his employees, who disapprove of his old-fashioned style of writing.

One day, Bernie meets Danni (Nia Peeples), a beautiful and carefree young woman who works at a neighborhood flower shop. Danni is everything Bernie is not: she's adventurous, impulsive, and fearless. Despite their age difference and conflicting personalities, the two form an unlikely friendship that soon blossoms into something more.

As Bernie struggles to come to terms with his feelings for Danni, he also has to deal with his jealous ex-girlfriend Theresa (Lainie Kazan), who wants him back and will do anything to break up his new relationship.

The movie explores the themes of love, loss, and self-discovery in a charming and whimsical way. It also takes a wry look at the greeting-card industry and the pressures of trying to come up with the perfect, sentimental message for every occasion.

Jason Alexander delivers a fine performance as Bernie, the lovelorn writer who is afraid to take risks in life. Nia Peeples is a revelation as Danni, the free-spirited beauty who helps Bernie see the world in a new light. Lainie Kazan also shines in her role as the conniving ex-girlfriend who is not above manipulating others to get what she wants.

The movie's direction by Robert Marcarelli is straightforward and unpretentious, letting the natural chemistry between the actors carry the story forward. The screenplay by Gary David Goldberg is witty and insightful, and the dialogue crackles with humor and heart.

One of the movie's standout scenes is the sequence in which Bernie takes Danni on a date to Coney Island. The sequence is shot in a dreamlike, almost surreal style, with the carnival rides and attractions serving as a metaphor for the ups and downs of their relationship.

Another highlight is the scene in which Bernie's employees confront him about his old-fashioned writing style. The scene is a clever commentary on the changing times and the struggle to stay relevant in a digital age.

Overall, I Don't Buy Kisses Anymore is a charming and offbeat romantic comedy that is well worth checking out. The movie's quirky characters and quirky humor make for an enjoyable and engaging viewing experience. Whether you're a fan of romantic comedies or just looking for a fun, lighthearted movie to watch, this one is sure to please.
