This is among the first purely instructional films made by MLB. The films were the fruition of an idea by then major leaguer and motion picture enthusiast Lew Fonseca. In this short, you'll see some of the great infielders of the day, including Gil Hodges of the Dodgers and Ferris Fain of the Athletics covering first base, and George Kell of the Tigers and Bob Elliot of the Braves handling third.
