Ira & Abby is a story of a couple that comes together in a very short time frame. Once this couple comes together they experience a lot of different emotions very quickly. The movie truly plays on all the things that can go wrong when someone makes a hasty decision to get married quickly. The two main characters soon discover that they do not know as much about one another as they assumed. The comedy arises through their their desire to know one another. There is also drama that ensues as unexpected details from their past quickly come to light.
