Jara Hatke is a Marathi language movie released in 2016. Directed by Prakash Kunte, the flick features Madhura Deshpande, Spruha Joshi, and Sonali Khare in lead roles. The film is a beautiful portrayal of relationships and emotions among people living today's fast-paced lifestyle. The story revolves around two women, Fahamida (Madhura Deshpande) and Samaira (Spruha Joshi), who are neighbors but very different from each other. Fahamida is an introvert and conservative woman who follows Islamic customs, while Samaira is a modern, outgoing, and independent woman with a carefree attitude towards life. However, destiny has different plans for these two women when they discover that they have something in common – a strained relationship with their fathers.

Fahamida is a young girl who is very attached to her father, Sajid (Satish Rajwade), but her father is not happy with her choices in life. Sajid is a hardworking businessman who wants his daughter to be a doctor, but Fahamida is passionate about hairstyling and wants to pursue it as a career. The conflict between them leads Fahamida to move out of her house and stay with her grandmother (Jayanti Bhatia) in the same building where Samaira lives.

Samaira, on the other hand, is a successful marketing professional who is living with her father Suresh (Jayant Sawarkar) after her mother's death. She always feels that her father doesn't understand her and doesn't support her choices in life. However, when she meets Fahamida, she discovers that Fahamida's father is also not supporting her choices.

As they started spending more time together, Fahamida and Samaira develop a deep bond of friendship, and they both help each other to mend their broken relationships. They realize that life is not only about following traditions but also about following one's heart, and if they truly believe in their choices, they should go for them.

Apart from the main plot, the movie also touches upon other subplots like Fahamida's love story with her longtime friend and hairstylist Satyajit (Mrinmayee Godbole), and Samaira's strained relationship with her colleague and close friend Rohit (Hemant Dhome).

The movie's strength lies in its outstanding performances by the lead cast. Madhura Deshpande portrayed her character of a conservative Muslim girl with ease and conviction, while Spruha Joshi's performance as a modern independent woman is commendable. The chemistry between the two lead actresses is impressive and adds charm to the story.

The movie's music is peppy and soulful. The title song "Jara Hatke" is catchy and sung by renowned singer Sonu Nigam. The background score successfully captures the emotions of the scenes and complements the movie's various moods.

The movie's cinematography is slick, and the film is shot in various locations across Mumbai, including landmarks like the Gateway of India, Leopold Cafe, and CST Station. The direction is excellent, and the movie's pacing is perfect. The movie's editing is crisp, and the narrative flows smoothly, keeping the audience hooked throughout.

Overall, Jara Hatke is a beautiful story of human relationships, emotions, and choices. It is a must-watch for every family as it will make you laugh, cry and think about life. The movie's message is clear: follow your heart, and if you truly believe in yourself, life will always find a way.

& Jara Hatke is a 2016 family movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 55 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 2.9.
