The supernatural horror film Jeruzalem explores ancient horrors that haunt the Holy Land. The primary setting for the movie is the holy city of Jerusalem. The time is during the annual high holidays occurring in late summer. The main characters are two American single girls, Sarah and Rachel, who have vacation plans to enjoy their single status as early 20-somethings in Tel Aviv. On their flight to Israel, they meet up with an archaeologist by the name of Kevin. He uses his charm to persuade them to enjoy the single life in Jerusalem instead. After arrival, and a few days of taking in the sites and nightspots, a horrific apocalypse ensues. Early on, the film mentions ancient folklore stating Jerusalem contains one of the three gates to hell. Mentally ill patients and demonic creatures are much of the horror portion of this film. Sarah's original prescription eyeglasses are in her purse, which is stolen. These are replaced with prescription eyeware, which contain a GPS and facial recognition software. The eye-ware is integral to the plot and leads to the eventual resolution of the crises in which they find themselves.
