Just Yell Fire is an educational film. It was released in 2006. The main goal of the film is to teach and empower young women to defend themselves if they ever encounter an attacker. The film was started as a school project at a school in Portland, Oregon. The video makes viewers more aware of the weak points on an attacker's body and how to successfully cause enough pain to those parts of the body to escape from harm. The film also makes females more aware of how to prevent becoming a target for rape and being kidnapped. The title of the film is a reference to make a point that yelling rape has the ability to scare potential witnesses away and yelling the word fire can cause them to surround the victim.
