Battle of the Year is a 3D experience featuring talented young stars who also have backgrounds in dance and the arts. Josh Holloway (Jason Blake), Laz Alonso (Dante Graham), Josh Peck (Franklyn) and a studio full of young dance talent are hopeful they will bring recognition back to their individual versions of homegrown dance and movement art.

The United States has not won a title in fifteen years; and this dance competition was started by Americans. A rag-tag team of brilliant dancers, all with their own drama and skill, are assembled to regain the title. They must train for dance that is strict and traditional, entertaining and marketable and downright inventive. Only the most versatile international group of dancers can win this competition and be known worldwide as the true champions.

Battle of the Year captures the talents of some of the United State's best young dancers with refined crossover acting prowess. Along with high-powered dancing sequences and popular dance tunes, there is plenty of drama and city-scapes to compliment the dancer's courageous story and quest for glory.
