Kaitholachathan is a 2018 Indian Malayalam language horror-comedy film directed by debutant Rohith VS. The film is produced by Jolly Joseph and Deepthi Joseph under the banner of Jolly Cinemas. The movie tells the story of a haunted bungalow that is owned by an NRI businessman named Alexander (Jayan Cherthala). Alexander, who has a deep connection with the bungalow, hires a team of youngsters to investigate the strange happenings in the house. The team comprises of four friends - Sivadas (Levin Simon Joseph), Shaji (Abhishek Raveendran), Priya (Gopika Ramesh), and Deepa (Devi Ajith).

The team arrives at the bungalow and starts to investigate. However, as soon as they step into the house, they can feel the presence of something eerie. They come across a mysterious man in white, who they believe is a ghost. Soon, they realize that they are trapped inside the bungalow and that there is no way out. What follows is a series of spooky incidents that leave the team petrified.

The movie has a few hair-raising moments but the director balances the horror with comedy really well. The banter between the characters and the jokes they crack provide relief from the frightening scenes. The film makes use of jump scares and eerie sound design to create an unsettling atmosphere. The music by Abhijith Shylanath is good and helps elevate the film's tension.

Levin Simon Joseph shines in his role as Sivadas, the leader of the group. He has a natural flair for comedy and his timing is spot on. Abhishek Raveendran, Gopika Ramesh, and Devi Ajith, who make up the rest of the team, also put in good performances. Jayan Cherthala, who plays Alexander, has a powerful presence and brings depth to his character.

The movie's setting and cinematography are its strong points. The bungalow, which is the main location of the film, is beautifully captured by cinematographer Vipin Mohan. The old-world charm of the house and its creepy corridors and creaky stairways create a sinister aura that adds to the film's horror.
