Karen Llora en el Bus is the story of a woman ( Karen ) who married young and is dissatisfied with her life. Karen feels disgusted with her traditional roles in the home, and detests cooking and cleaning. Depressed and downtrodden she separates from her husband and strikes out on her own. With the little money that Karen has saved she decides to rent a room in Bogota, and goes searching for a job. When she realizes that she is not qualified in any trade she becomes distressed and is forced to ponder whether or not she was better off at home.
