Kasala! (Plenty Trouble!) is a 2018 Nigerian comedy-drama film directed by Ema Edosio. The movie tells the story of four young friends, Chikodili (Emeka Nwagbaraocha), Ade (Tomiwa Tegbe), Folarin (Mike Afolarin) and Ifeanyi (Jide Kosoko), known as the Razz Guys. They live in a ghetto in Lagos, and are always getting into trouble because of their adventurous and carefree nature.

The movie starts with the Razz Guys purchasing tickets to a high-profile basketball game in Lagos. Without telling their parents, they go into the city to retrieve their tickets at the same time the notorious Lagos Danfo drivers go on strike. This causes a huge transportation problem and the friends find themselves completely stranded in the city. They then proceed to embark on a series of misadventures as they try to find their way back home.

Along the way, they meet diverse characters who either help or impede their mission. One person they meet is Computer (Kassim Abiodun), a young man who is a hustler and a philosopher at the same time. Computer makes a living by selling pirated movies, and he always has something smart to say. He is a guiding force for the Razz Guys, who are in awe of his wit and wisdom.

As the night wears on, the friends face many obstacles. They get robbed, arrested, and are even forced to sleep in a park. But their bond as friends never waivers. They tease and taunt each other, share stories, and laugh at their predicament. But amidst all the laughter, they also have to confront their individual problems. Folarin, for example, is being chased by a gangster because he owes him money. He has to come up with the money before the end of the night, or face dire consequences.

The movie is a beautiful portrait of Lagos and the people who live there. The director does an excellent job of capturing the chaos, the noise, and the energy of the city. There is an authenticity in the way the characters speak and behave that is both hilarious and profound. The theme of friendship is a central one in the movie. The Razz Guys are true friends, they have each other's back, and their bond is indestructible. But alongside the theme of friendship, there is also a critique of the Nigerian society. The movie touches on the many issues that plague the country, from corruption to poor governance, to the dysfunctional transport system.

The acting in the movie is excellent, with each actor bringing something unique to the table. Kassim Abiodun, who plays the role of Computer, is particularly outstanding. He infuses the character with a kind of charisma and intellect that is both infectious and commanding. Mike Afolarin, who plays the role of Folarin, also gives a solid performance. He is able to capture the vulnerabilities of his character, while still being able to convey his bravado.

The movie is not without flaws, however. The plot can sometimes feel disjointed, with some scenes seeming to lack coherence. Some of the secondary characters are also not well developed, and this can make it hard for the audience to relate to their struggles. But overall, these are minor criticisms.

In conclusion, Kasala! (Plenty Trouble!) is a thoroughly enjoyable movie that deserves to be seen. It offers a glimpse into the life of young people in Lagos, and manages to balance comedy with social commentary. It is a movie that will leave you laughing and thinking at the same time.
