Watch Ladybug Beetles & Other Coleopterans

Close-up footage shows aphids providing food for ants, who are then eaten by ladybugs. Typical coleopteran features are demonstrated by the ladybug's two membranous folding wings, protected by two rigid wing covers. Also noted is the grinding mouth apparatus common to all beetles. Beneficial and harmful species of beetles that live in all environments and form the largest group in the animal kingdom are included.
