The film follows the story of Jean Bruckner, a young woman who has been living the past few years of her life with great heartache. Six years ago, Jean experienced great heartache after she discovered that her husband had committed suicide. However, six years after her husband's tragic passing, Jean receives very strange news. She is informed that her husband has recently been murdered. Confused, Jean sets out on a journey to discover what has truly happened.
