Watch Life, Animated

This documentary tells the story of an autistic young man who learns to use his love for animated Disney films to help him communicate with his family and cope with his emotions. The film uses home-movie footage of Owen as a child, interviews with his family, and more recent footage of the adult Owen as he prepares to leave a group home and embark on an independent life for the first time. The film is based on a book by Ron Suskind, Owen's father, and was directed by Roger Ross Williams. It was released in January 2016 to generally positive reviews.
