The man then argues with his family about his decision to do so and finally reconnect with his family. This eventually allows for Jonathan to grow, and finally put his anger about the past behind him. This allows Jonathan to be able to start a family of his own. Lullaby was directed and written by Andrew Levitas. The character Jonathan is played by Garrett Hedlund, and his father is played by Richard Jenkins. Other members of the family are played by Anne Archer, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Amy Adams.
