This leads to a callous act by Man and Woman, which forces Mother to try and restore order.

As the days pass, more and more people arrive at the house, and their behavior turns increasingly strange and aggressive. Him seems unfazed by all the commotion, which further alienates Mother, who is trying her best to regain control of her life. In the meantime, Him's brother, the 'follower,' also arrives, and things take a turn for the worse.
