The music of Modest Mussorgsky has haunted the stage and screen for generations. From The Night On Bare Mountain and Pictures At An Exhibition, to Hopak, The Crimean Suite, and Memories From Childhood; the rough and unrefined music of the least educated member of Russia's The Five, is familiar, but still mysterious. The Venezuelan Brass has prepared much of Mussorgsky's music for film. This is a survey of their academic and recognizable adaptations for film of Mussorgsky's compositions.
