Nagabonar Jadi 2 is a comedian movie that documents a story that revolves around the Old Nagabonar who was a pickpocket during the Indonesian war and now has become a general. The show involves two characters who are a father and his son. This movie touches on the views of different stages of generation in Indonesia raging from older generation, post-modern generation to younger generation. The stages stresses particularly on patriotism, traditional values and love.
The story starts with the old Nagabonar coming from Medan to meet his son who is a successful business person that runs a company with his three friends. The son break a good news of plans to sell their old palm plantation farm where his mother, grandmother and a friend to his father were buried. The father gives in to this news but later turn his back after realizing that the buyer are Japanese who come from the country that he fought against during the war of independence.
