"Night Zoo" (1987) is a Canadian movie. The protagonist is a newly freed ex-con who hopes to reconcile with his dying father, while fending off the attentions of a gay policeman. The father for his part has built up a cache of drugs and money for his son. The ex-con also tries to reconnect with his girl friend who is now a prostitute.
