The story of Onimasa and Matsue, who is the adoptive daughter of the Kiryuin House. The story begins in 1918, and ends around the end of the World War II. It is based on a small clan of Yakuza, and what happens when Onimasa the heir to Samurai finds himself on the opposite side of the tracks. The movie dives into the reality of gang wars, mistresses lives, and the intricate lifestyles of the people who lived during those times.
