Parasomnia is a 2008 horror thriller movie directed by William Malone. The story of the movie is about a young girl, Laura Baxter (played by Cherilyn Wilson), who suffers from a rare sleeping disorder called parasomnia. This disorder makes her unconscious mind very active, causing her to do unusual things while asleep. Laura is currently under treatment in a hospital due to her condition.

Meanwhile, an art student named Danny Sloan (played by Dylan M. McKnight) visits an art exhibition where he sees a painting of a beautiful woman named Delia (played by Sean Young). Danny is attracted to the painting and begins to develop an unhealthy obsession with Delia. One night, he sneaks into the museum to see the painting and falls asleep in front of it. Delia, who is a sleepwalker, comes out of the painting and ends up falling in love with Danny.

As Danny's obsession with the painting and Delia grow, he begins to have strange dreams and sleepwalk. One day, while Danny is sleepwalking, he stumbles into the hospital where Laura is being treated. Laura, who is also sleepwalking, sees Danny and feels an instant connection with him. However, the hospital staff mistakes Danny for a thief and call the police.

As the movie progresses, we see the various characters struggling with their own issues. Laura is being treated by a skeptical doctor (played by Patrick Kilpatrick), who does not believe in her disorder. Danny and Delia's relationship becomes more intense, and they plan to leave for Paris together. However, things take a dark turn when Delia's abusive ex-boyfriend (played by Jeffrey R. Smith) comes into the picture.

The movie takes a surreal turn when Delia's ex-boyfriend kidnaps her, and Danny follows them to rescue her. The two men end up in a fight, and Delia's ex-boyfriend is killed. At this point, the line between reality and dreams becomes blurred, and the movie becomes increasingly dark and disturbing.

The climax of the movie takes place in a twisted, dream-like world, where the characters are forced to confront their deepest fears and desires. The ending of the movie is ambiguous, and the viewer is left to interpret the events of the movie in their own way.

Overall, Parasomnia is an interesting movie that combines horror, romance, and surrealism. Though it drags a bit in the beginning, the movie picks up pace after the first act and keeps the viewer engaged till the end. The movie's visual effects are impressive and lend themselves well to the dream-like nature of the story. The acting is also solid, with Cherilyn Wilson, Sean Young, and Dylan M. McKnight delivering convincing performances. However, the movie's ambiguous ending may leave some viewers dissatisfied.
