Post-Mortem is a 2010 horror movie that follows the life of Mark Cray, who plays the role of Trent. Trent is a medical examiner who has been carrying on with his life just like any other guy until his apartment gets robbed. He hires a technician, Devin Kates, who plays the role of Crane to install security cameras in his home to keep him safe from intruders. Brinke Stevens comes in as the psychic, Megan, and together, they find themselves caught up in a series of increasingly strange and terrifying events.

The movie begins with Mark Cray as an ordinary man with an unremarkable life. However, that all changes when his apartment gets robbed, and he realizes his vulnerability. To fix this, he hires characters Devin Kates and Brinke Stevens to help him secure his apartment. However, things go from bad to worse as they quickly realize that the apartment is haunted by an evil force.

As the days pass, Trent, Crane, and Megan start noticing strange occurrences in the apartment, which convinces them that something sinister is stalking them. Aided by Megan's psychic abilities, they begin to investigate everything that is happening around them until the haunting takes over their lives completely. Quickly, they are thrown into a terrifying race against time to save their lives before it is too late.

The movie is suspenseful and masterfully crafted. The film creates an eerie and foreboding atmosphere that keeps the viewer tense throughout. It does a great job of building up the fear and causing the audience to question what will happen next.

One aspect that sets this film apart from others in the genre is how well it incorporates all the classic tropes of horror movies while still maintaining its own storyline. The plot seamlessly weaves together elements of horror classics like ghost and possession stories, but it also manages to carve its own unique narrative.

Another reason why this movie is so effective at creating fear and tension is the exceptional performances by the cast. All of the actors deliver believable and nuanced performances that make the audience feel like these characters are real people experiencing genuinely terrifying events. Mark Cray, Devin Kates, and Brinke Stevens are all fantastic, and their chemistry on screen is palpable.

One especially noteworthy aspect of this film is its use of practical effects rather than relying on computer-generated images. It makes the movie feel raw and real, and it adds an extra level of terror to the already frightening storyline.

Overall, Post-Mortem is a fantastic horror movie that manages to deliver everything one could want from the genre. The haunting atmosphere, believable characters, and excellent use of practical effects all come together to form an unforgettable horror experience. If you are a fan of the horror genre, this movie is definitely worth watching.
