Venetian countryside, 1945. Towards the end of the Second World War a group of partisans demands hospitality for some nights, to a family of farmers. The story develops the contrast between the events of the great history and the ordinary life of the farmers that was regulated by religion and nature. Based on the homonymous novel written by Aldo Durante.
