Watch Prophecies of Nostradamus

Pediatrician and scientist Dr. Nishiyama has a hard time convincing people of an environmental catastrophe. Giant creatures start showing up, like slugs and children with super-human powers. More strange things start happening, such as hippie suicide gangs on motorcycles, man-eating fruit bats, traffic jams with exploding cars, obligatory earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and nuclear missiles firing.

Prophecies of Nostradamus was the highest grossing movie of 1974 in Japan. Unfortunately, it was pulled from theaters after complaints from an atom bomb survivors group. Some short cuts exist still, such as the United States TV version by the title of The Last Days of Planet Earth. The original of this movie has never been released officially on video or DVD.
