Puli is a Telugu action film. Komaram Puli is a police officer, played by Pawan Kalyan. He is leader of the Puli Team, who are a special crime unit. The unit's specialty is solving hard to solve crimes. When Puli becomes aware of a missing police officer named Hussein, played by SJ Surya, conflict grows between Puli and Al Salim. The film had a 400 million budget, and included a soundtrack by A. R. Rahman. Nikeesha Patel, who played a heroine in the film, debuted with her acting career with the film's release. S. J. Suryaah directed the film. It was written by Jaya Phaneendra.
