Watch Quite Like Paradise

Based on the eponymous novel by Luis Spota, this political satire follows Amadeo (Andrea Arcangeli), an Italian man with a troubled past who pretends to be a count upon arriving in Mexico. Thanks to his charisma and charm, Amadeo dazzles the new bourgeoisie, becoming the most celebrated figure among them and landing an engagement to an influential young woman (Karol Sevilla). But when an old flame reappears to unmask him, Amadeo tries to keep up the charade and finds himself at the heart of a deadly political power struggle.
