Recall Florida is a rollicking nonfiction road movie, following former Attorney General Janet Reno at the wheel of her red pick-up truck as she cruises the backroads and byways of Florida in a 2002 bid to win the Democratic nomination for Governor. As Primary Day draws near, and the state Democratic Party strenuously opposes her candidacy, her massive lead in the polls erodes. The native Floridian takes no soft money, believing that by talking to as many voters as possible she can win without the money TV ads require. Recall Florida takes the audience behind the scenes into the nerve center of a grassroots political campaign, to provide a fascinating inside look at -- and raise very serious questions about -- the election process itself.
