RiffTrax Live: Samurai Cop is a hilarious comedy movie that was released in 2017. It stars Bill Corbett, Kevin Murphy, and Michael J. Nelson who are known for their riffing abilities. The movie is a parody of the 1991 cult classic Samurai Cop, which was known for its bad acting, terrible dialogue, and ridiculous plot. The movie opens with the RiffTrax trio, who are sitting in their studio, preparing to riff on Samurai Cop. As the film starts, we are introduced to Joe Marshall, aka Samurai Cop, played by Matt Hannon. Joe is a cop who has a samurai sword and dresses like a sushi chef. His partner, Frank Washington, played by Mark Frazer, is an African-American cop who is constantly making jokes about his own race. Together, they work to take down the Japanese Yakuza, who are trying to take over Los Angeles through drugs and prostitution.

Throughout the film, the RiffTrax crew provides hilarious commentary on the terrible acting, cheesy dialogue, and ridiculous plot points. They also make fun of the abundance of long-haired men, bad wigs, and poor fight choreography. The trio has excellent chemistry and their witty banter is what makes the movie so funny.

One of the standout moments in the film is when Joe meets a woman named Peggy, played by Cranston Komuro. Peggy is a nurse who helps Joe recover from a gunshot wound. Despite the fact that Peggy is Asian, Joe tries to flirt with her by telling her that he loves sushi. The RiffTrax crew can't help but make fun of Joe's inappropriate and cringe-worthy behavior.

As the movie progresses, Joe and Frank work to take down the Yakuza, but things get more and more ridiculous. There's a scene where Frank takes down a group of Yakuza members by doing karate moves on a balcony. The trio can't help but laugh at the absurdity of the scene.

Towards the end of the film, Joe and Frank have a final showdown with the Yakuza boss, played by Gerald Okamura. The RiffTrax crew provides hilarious commentary during this scene, making fun of the terrible fight choreography and the fact that the Yakuza boss can't seem to keep his wig on.

Overall, RiffTrax Live: Samurai Cop is a laugh-out-loud comedy that parodies a bad movie in the best way possible. The RiffTrax trio is at the top of their game, providing witty commentary and making fun of all the ridiculousness on the screen. If you're a fan of bad movies or just looking for a good laugh, this movie is definitely worth checking out.
