ROCÍO is the true story of an undocumented Harvard student who self deports himself and his dying Mom to seek alternative treatment in her native Mexico. The story received national attention because he was not allowed to return to the United States, even with his DACA status. He filmed their experience and started the film as his thesis at Harvard, where it received top honors.
