Silent Night is a tale of gore, mayhem, and the search for a Santa Claus who is on a rampage. The film is a loose remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night from another era. Malcolm McDowell who plays small-town Sheriff James Cooper and Jamie King as Deputy Bradimore have a time chasing down the demented Santa Claus that is intent on ruining the holidays for all of its citizens. Christmas Eve is the Santa’s night of choice to wreak gory mayhem on the residents of this sleepy town. The hunt is compounded by the fact that the town is full of Santa Claus’s in town for the annual Christmas parade. It’s impossible for the Deputy and Sheriff Cooper to find the culprit as the town gears up for the parade so he is free to kill at will. The beginning scene of the movie is a horrific mass murder scene at the local hotel. The scene is investigated by Sheriff Cooper and Deputy Bradimore. They quickly ascertain that they are in major trouble because there is an axe wielding maniac on the loose and their entire small town is the target. Not only is every man in town wearing a Santa suit and a white beard, the Deputy's own father is wearing one as well. With the help of Sheriff Cooper and her father she sets out to catch the killer before it’s too late. While jolly old St. Nick continues his murdering rampage all over town, from gaily decorated houses to dark streets, the three people rush against time to stop the carnage from carrying over into the Christmas Eve parade itself. The body count rises as the sheriff, deputy, and her father hunt for a killer that not only looks like every other Santa on the block, but is cunning and crazy as well. Will the trio stop the evil Santa before the clock strikes midnight bringing in Christmas day or will no one in this little town be alive to open their presents come Christmas morn?
